Sajid alias Sajju Kothari had made huge property; Police now probing into it

Surat: The notorious criminal Sajju Kothari alias Sajid Ghulam Mohammad Kothari, recently nabbed by City Police Crime Branch of Surat, lived in Mumbai for 15 to 20 days in a month, as revealed in investigation.

The police will investigate his connections to Mumbai. Sajju Kothari has bought a flat of the cost of around Rs 1.25 crore at Mira road in Mumbai. The police will also investigate about 5 to 7 mobile numbers found from his phone. He has 10 to 12 cars including a BMW. The crime branch has seized the DVR of CCTV camera.

The crime branch has nabbed him from a bunker in his Jamrukh Gali residence in Nanpura area of Surat city. He allegedly lended money with high installments. His accomplices allegedly forcefully brought the borrowers to Sajju’s office where he beat them with bats and baseball. He had formed his own gang in 2003 after working with a local gang for four to five years. He had also started a gambling club in Nanpura.
