Action taken against 3 private hospitals of Modasa for malpractices in PMJAY scheme

Modasa: Action has been taken against three private hospitals of Modasa for malpractices in the implementation of the health department’s Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY).
The irregularities were noticed during a strict checking that was undertaken by the district health department and associated insurance companies after a lot of outcry in Aravalli district with regards to the rampant corruption at several private hospitals offering their services under this scheme.
While Sanjivani Hospital, and Ayushman Hospital of Modasa have been barred from offering their services under the scheme for 2 months and 3 months respectively, Dhanlaxmi Hospital has been permanently disqualified under the PMJAY scheme. The proprietors of Sanjivani Hospital have also been penalized a sum of Rs 4.89 lakh for practicing irregularities under the welfare scheme.
