Polling ends early for Presidential election in Gujarat; All eligible voters cast vote

Gandhinagar: Polling for Presidential election at Gujarat Assembly complex concluded by 4.00 pm instead of deadline of 5.00 pm. The voting had started at 10 am today.
All 178 MLAs of Gujarat and one Rajya Sabha member Shri Parimalbhai Nathwani cast their vote at the assembly complex, said Rajendra Trivedi, senior minister.
According to Trivedi, the voting ended at 4.00 pm. All eligible 178 MLAs cast their voters. The Prime Minister had appealed for 100 per cent voting and Gujarat has done that, he added.
Congress MLA CJ Chavda said that all 179 voters including Parimalbhai Nathwani cast their vote today in Gujarat for Presidential election. He added that Gujarat has given its vote for the post of President of India indirectly today. He said the counting will take place on July 21. DeshGujarat
