Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Meteorological Department has forecast rains in the state for the coming five days.

“Rainfall is expected in the next 5 days in Gujarat region, but only light to moderate rain is expected in whole Gujarat region for next 24 to 48 hours. Whereas only one or two places might witness heavy rain,” said Manorama Mohanty, Director at Gujarat headquarters of central government’s weather department – IMD.

Saurashtra – Kutch might witness light to moderate rain in many scattered places, with heavy rain in a few areas in the coming days.

“Ahmedabad will witness few spells of light to moderate rain from 25th to 27th July, and after that, the rainfall activity in Gujarat will go down,” Mohanty said.

Gujarat, as of 25th July has received about 509mm of rain.
