Around 6500 cusecs release of water from Dharoi dam; Low lying villages alerted

Bharuch: At 11 am on Wednesday, August 17, the outflow from Dharoi dam in the downstream area was 6495 cusecs in the river bed in addition to 250 cusecs discharged in the canal. The district administrations have alerted some villages in low lying areas on the bank of river Sabarmati.
The dam was 84.94 percent full. The inflow was 90,078 cusecs. Against the full reservoir level of 189.59 meters, the present water level was 188.67 meters at 11 am on August 17.
The dam has designed capacity to store 813.14 MCM water, against which it has 690.66 MCM storage as of 11 am on August 17. 2 gates of the dam are opened in 0.61 meter size for discharge of water. DeshGujarat
