February 20, 2023
Gandhinagar: The Gandhinagar division of Durga Vahini, the women’s wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), organized a day-long “Yuvati Sammelan” in the state capital on Sunday. The primary aim of the event was to educate Hindu girls about the dangers of love jihad.
As per the VHP and Durga Vahini, approximately 1,100 women and girls from the Gandhinagar district attended the gathering. Nupurben Patel, the Durga Vahini Prant convener, said that more than 1,000 girls and women between the ages of 15 and 35 were informed about the perils of love jihad and mehndi jihad. She also mentioned that slides were shown to portray how girls get lured by a person of a different religion, which leads to suffering after marriage.
Additionally, Durga Vahini is planning a training session from May 7 to 14 where girls and women will be taught self-defense techniques, including using sticks, swords, and rifles. DeshGujarat
