Rajkot: The Government has filled the Aji-1 dam of Rajkot district by 100 percent through SAUNI yojana link of Narmada water at the start of the season of Summer.

The government supplies Naramda water through SAUNI to Aaji and Nyari dams whenever need arises. The irrigation department has filled Aji 1 dam by 100 percent. The level of water at Aji 1 dam is 29 feet at present. Total 925 MCFT out of 1000 MCFT water is released in the dam this year.

The water from the dam will be sufficient for next four months. Drinking water can be supplied till July from the dam. Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) lifts 12 MCFT water daily from Aaji-1 dam. DeshGujarat
