Tejasvi Yadav’s Gujaratis Thug remarks: Metro court to hear matter again on June 23

Ahmedabad: The metro court in the city has scheduled the next hearing for a defamation case filed against Bihar deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav on 23rd June 2023. During this hearing, the statements of other witnesses will be recorded.

The complainant, Haresh Pranshankar Mehta, who resides in Ahmedabad, accused Bihar deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav of defamation based on the latter’s statements that only Gujaratis are ‘thugs’. The additional chief metropolitan magistrate, DJ Parmar, ordered an inquiry into the case.

The private channel that conducted the interview with Tejashwi Yadav presented the CD containing the interview as evidence in court. As per the court’s order, an authorized representative from the channel was present in court with the CD, affirming that it was obtained from a reliable source without any alterations.
