Bavla-Bagodara highway accident: Death toll rises to 12

Ahmedabad: The death toll in the Bavla-Bagodara highway accident has risen to twelve, with two more people succumbing to their injuries while undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital in the city.
In a tragic incident on Friday, a mini-truck carrying 23 individuals, including three children, collided with a stationary truck on the Rajkot-Ahmedabad Highway near Bagodara village. The collision resulted in the unfortunate deaths of ten people and left thirteen others injured. The incident occurred around 11 am on Friday. The victims were returning from a religious event in Chotila town, Surendranagar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while extending his condolences and had announced compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also expressed his grief over the loss of lives in the accident. DeshGujarat
