Three districts of Gujarat still rain deficient, two with large excess rainfall

Gandhinagar: Gujarat has completed over 101 percent rainfall this monsoon season. So the monsoon this year is above normal. The percentage is derived from an average of the last 10 monsoons. However, three districts of Gujarat are still rain deficient as per the Indian Meteorological Department(IMD)’s latest data.
These three districts, shown in red color in the map above are Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Vadodara. The deficit of rainfall in Vaddoara and Gandhinarar is -22 percent each while in the case of Ahmedabad district it is minus 21 percent.
All districts shown in light blue color indicate excess rain in the range of 20 to 59 percent. While two districts, Kutch and Junagadh are in dark blue color which shows the rainfall has been large access there above 60 percent. DeshGujarat
