Hindu Sadhus seek police to file complaint over Datt Shikhar incident

Junagadh: The followers of Digambar Jain sect had created ruckus at Dattatreya Shikhar based Datt mandir atop Girnar in Junagadh last month. The Hindu sadhus held a press conference on Saturday in Junagadh to convey their protest against police inaction. They said police have not filed a complaint yet in this incident.
Mahant Maheshgiri Bapu, Managing Trustee of Guru Dattatreya Sansthan, Girnar said police have not filed complaint even after a week of the incident. The saints demand that a complaint should be filed and those who attacked the religious place should face action. Also those responsible should tender apology in writing and in video and Jain followers should be banned from visiting Datt shikhar in future.
Girnar Mandal’s chief Indrabharti Bapu said if required the Sadhus will give a call of a day-long strike in Junagadh against the incident. He said, Lili Parikrama, Bhavnath fair and other religious occasions and places at Girnar give employment and earning to many people here in Junagadh. When such places of belief are under attack, the locals should come out and offer their support.
Girnar based Ambaji mandir mahant Tansukhgiri Bapu and Mahadevgiri Bapu said those from Digambar Jain sect who come from the other states, disturb the peace here. They also want to grab Mali Parab, Nagbai nu mandir and other religious places. Earlier Swaminarayan and now Digambar Jain sect are conspiring against Hindus. DeshGujarat
