PM flags off the Ekta Nagar-Ahmedabad Heritage Train & launches other development works from Kevadia

Ekta Nagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day trip to his home state of Gujarat. Today on the second day of his visit, PM Modi flagged off the Ekta Nagar-Ahmedabad Heritage Train, e-buses, and e-bicycles, and also launched other development works from Kevadia.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth Rs 160 crore. The projects inaugurated include the Heritage Train from Ekta Nagar to Ahmedabad, a project for Narmada Aarti live, Kamalam Park, a walkway within the Statue of Unity, 30 new e-buses, 210 e-bicycles, and multiple Golf Carts. Additionally, there is the City Gas Distribution Network at Ekta Nagar and ‘Sahkar Bhawan’ of the Gujarat State Cooperative Bank. Furthermore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Sub-District Hospital with Trauma Center and a Solar Panel at Kevadia.

This heritage train is the first heritage train of Gujarat. The regular run of Train No 09409/09410 Ahmedabad – Ekta Nagar Steam Heritage Special train will commence from 5th November, 2023. Train No. 09409 Ahmedabad – Ekta Nagar Steam Heritage Special train will depart from Ahmedabad at 06.10 hrs every Sunday and will reach Ekta Nagar at 09.50 hrs, the same day.

Similarly, Train No. 09410 Ekta Nagar – Ahmedabad Steam Heritage Special train will depart from Ekta Nagar at 20.35 hrs every Sunday and will reach Ahmedabad at 00.05 hrs, the next day. The train comprises of four AC Vistadome type coaches consisting of three Air-Conditioned Executive Chair Car coaches & a Restaurant Dining Car. The booking of Train Nos. 09409 & 09410 is open with immediate effect at all PRS counters and o­n IRCTC website. The Advance Reservation Period (ARP) of the above train will be 30 days. DeshGujarat
