Liquor permit to cost more in Surat

Surat: Those requiring a liquor consumption permit for health reasons in Surat will need to pay more.
Surat city and district currently have over 12,500 liquor permit holders. Effective from 15 October, the new liquor permit will cost Rs. 25,000, instead of the earlier rate of Rs. 10,000. The renewal rate for the permit will be Rs. 20,000, instead of the earlier Rs. 5,000.
The amount will go to the Rogi Kalyan Samiti of Civil Hospital. DeshGujarat.
