Hindu students, parents allege religious conversion attempts in school; Videos go viral

Kutch: Videos have gone viral recently on social media from Adhoi village in Bhachau taluka, where students and parents confront the Christian teachers of an English school after they gave the Bible to Hindu students in an alleged attempt at conversion.
In the viral video, the parents can be seen confronting and questioning the teachers about why the Bible was given to Hindu students. When the teacher claimed that the students asked for the Bible, the young student promptly said that he did not ask for the Bible as he is a firm Sanatani (Kattar Sanatani).
As the argument ensued, a parent inquired about who was permitted to distribute the Bible. A lady parent said, “This place is for education,” and told the school management to vacate the school building, which was made by the local community, within 24 hours.
Another parent argued that when the students had asked the teacher who wrote the Ramayana, the teacher started teaching only one religion. “For the daily GK question, I asked the teacher who wrote the Ramayana, to which he replied that only Jesus is the true God, and the Ramayana and all others are just literature,” the young student says in the video.
While sharing about another such incident, the students gathered there said, “We are students of the 8th standard. On the last day of Ganpati festival, we were celebrating when our Maths teacher told us that all of it is not true but only a matter of belief.”
The confident young students, while confronting the teachers, said, “As you question us for offering milk to Lord Shiva, did we ever question that you people offer wine” (referring to the Christian practice of offering wine to God).
When the teacher tries to dodge the question and says that he did not say that, the parents argue that how can a child be lying when is so confident about narrating the things that you have said.
The other students, although hesitant at first, later backed their classmate after assurance of no action against them. The pupil said that the teacher told them they should not offer milk to Lord Shiva. ‘You told us this on a Monday in the Shravan month when there was a half-day in school,’ added the student.
Later, several books on Christian religion were found, which the parents confiscated before calling a meeting of the parent association.” DeshGujarat
