Gujarat Assembly passes unanimous resolution in favor of Bhagwad Gita teaching in schools

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat assembly today unanimously passed a resolution requesting the state government to take necessary steps for effective implementation of the education department’s recent decision to teach ‘Bhagavad Gita’ in schools. The Opposition Aam Aadi Party supported this resolution. Congress after the initial protest supported it during the vote. The State government has made announcements to teach the principles and values presented in Shrimad Bhavad Gita in class 6 to 12 of schools from the next academic year.
