Rs. 11.63 lakh jewelry robbed on gun point at jewelry shop in Maninagar

Ahmedabad: Four robbers arrived in the shop during 9.15 to 9.30 pm with weapons and robbed jewelries worth Rs. 11 lakh at a jewelry shop in Maninagar area of the city today. Two of the four accused were carrying weapons according to the jewelry shop. One had a pistol in his hand while the other had a sharp weapon. When the robbers left the shop, they left a sharp weapon. They took away the jeweler’s mobile phone with them.
One of the robbers showed a gun to the jeweler and told him in Hindi that he would be shot today first in leg and then in head. A shop owner surrendered to robbers and urged them not to kill him and take away whatever they wish.
Shasstrinagar-Isanpur based 28 years old Amrut Mali has filed complaint in Maninagar police station. He has said in his complaint that he owns Jay Bhavani jewelers shop near Bherunath circle in Maninagar area. Robbers came when he was preparing to close the shop. He first mistook robbers as customers and welcomed them. One of the robbers put a pistol on his head and issued a threat that the first bullet from the gun will be fired in leg and the other in head. Feared by this threat, Mali asked robbers to take away whatever they wish but not hurt him. Robbers robbed jewelries worth Rs. 11.63 lakh from the display showcases and escaped the place. Robbers are captured in CCTV footage.
A local police station and the city police’s crime branch are investigating the case. DeshGujarat
