Gadhada temple trust election announced

Bhavnagar: Gadhada (Swamina) Gopinathji Dev Mandir’s Temple Board Committee election date has been announced. Polling will take place at Gadhada mandir’s building and Lakshmi vadi based polling centres. There are total 29,000 eligible voters in this election which is held every five years. A seven-member board consists four members of Gruhasth vibhag and 1 member each in Sadhu vibhag, Brahmachari vibhag and Parshad vibhag. The election conventionally takes place between Acharya paksh and Dev paksh. For last five years, Dev paksh is ruling group. One who has donated minimum Rs. 300 during each of last five years (samvat 2075 to 2079) continuously or dipositted donation in the forms of items at Gadhda Gopinath Dev Mandir can become Gruhasth and Tyagi vibhag voter or candidate. Any adult Gruhasth satsangi who has donated mininum Rs. 250 cash or items worth that value in each of last five years continuously will be considered as Satsangi voter. DeshGujarat
