Vadodara ring road works kick off

Vadodara: Gujarat Chief Minister had on 3rd March done e-khatmahurat of a 75-meter ring-road around Vadodara. Rs. 317 crore ring-road project was shelved for last 12 years. Vadodara Urban Development Authority (VUDA) had in 2012 proposed a 66.08 km long 75-meter ring-road in its approved-draft and second revision development plan-2012. VUDA had decided to link two main roads and do phase-wise execution of the project for smooth execution. The first phase of the project involves 66.08 km. A road will be built from Gorva to Sevasi, Sindhrot road, Vadodara-Padra road and then to Por highway. VUDA and Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) will jointly build the ring road at a cost of Rs. 317 crore. The encroachment obstructing the road project shall be demolished. DeshGujarat
