3 held with 30kg of cannabis in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Vejalpur Police apprehended three individuals near Shastri Bridge on Monday for allegedly possessing 30.5kg of cannabis. Rickshaw driver Faysal Mansuri, 27, along with Irfan Shaikh, 26, and Junaid Syed, 32, were nabbed while transporting the narcotics.
Vejalpur Police got a tip-off that cannabis was being transported in an autorickshaw. After that, the head constable Prakash Soma, who was part of the team deployed at Shastri Bridge, tracked the autorickshaw to the metro station road. The police intercepted the autorickshaw and found multiple packets of cannabis inside the vehicle, which was later confirmed by forensic experts.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered against the trio. DeshGujarat
