Former Congress leader Rohan Gupta joins BJP

Delhi: Former national spokesperson of the Congress, Rohan Gupta, who resigned from the party last month, joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party today in New Delhi.

The Congress party had nominated Rohan Gupta as their candidate from the Ahmedabad East Lok Sabha seat, but he declined to contest the polls, citing the serious health condition of his father, former senior Congress leader Rajkumar Gupta. Gupta, who had also held the position of IT cell head in the Congress party, tendered his resignation on March 21st.

Rohan Gupta arrived at the BJP headquarters in Delhi, where he joined the party in the presence of the BJP National General Secretary, Vinod Tawde, and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Dr. Jahanzaib Sirwal and former IAS Parampal Kaur also joined the ruling party along with Rohan Gupta. DeshGujarat
