Vadali Police detain 14 for disrupting BJP election office opening

Sabarkantha: The Vadali police on Sunday detained 14 individuals after a clash erupted between a BJP worker and Kshatriyas during the inauguration of election office of BJP’s Sabarkantha Lok Sabha candidate Shobhna Baraiya.
Senior BJP leader and Idar MLA Ramanlal Vora was also seen present at the event when the Kshatriyas were protesting against Union Minister and BJP leader Parshottam Rupala due to his remarks last month. The demonstrators clashed with police also, dismantling barricades and moving towards the BJP event, chanting slogans against Rupala. A man was observed grappling with both the police and a BJP supporter in the video footage of the incident, which circulated on social media on Sunday.
Vora told the media that during the inauguration of the election office of our Lok Sabha candidate Shobhna Baraiya, some individuals came forward to protest. Among those people, there were Kshatriyas, led by local Congress leader Rajendrasinh Kumpavat.
The Vadali police stated that as the inauguration of BJP’s election office was scheduled, individuals from the Kshatriya and Thakro communities came to protest. Fourteen of them were detained and later released.
In another development, seven members of the Kshatriya Karni Sena were detained by police while chanting anti-BJP slogans outside the venue of Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel’s election rally in support of BJP Lok Sabha candidate Hemang Joshi in Vadodara.
