Ahmedabad: A massive fire erupted in a residential building near Gujarat College in the Ellisbridge area of the city.

The fire incident occurred on the fourth floor of Mahuban Flats, situated on Seth Mangaldas Road in the Ellisbridge area of the city. Twelve firefighting vehicles were rushed to the scene to douse the fire. According to preliminary information, around 40 people were rescued from the building after residents on the 7th and 8th floors raised the alarm upon noticing smoke from the fire.
