Rajkot: A video of Congress leader and former MLA Indranil Rajguru has gone viral, in which, while praising Rahul Gandhi and comparing him with Mahatma Gandhi, Rajguru made an insulting comment about the father of the nation.

During his speech, Indranil Rajguru expressed, ‘If you wish to record my statements for the future, take note. If there arises another figure akin to Gandhi in this nation, it will be Rahul Gandhi; he is on the path of righteousness. Even in Gandhi, there was some cunningness, but Rahul is completely honest and genuine.’

He further remarked that efforts were made to mock Rahul, and billions of rupees were spent to make him Pappu. Yet, he has fought steadfastly. Today, even if the country does not accept him, he is still right.

It is worth mentioning that the place and time of this video are not clear yet. However, with the poster of Congress’s Rajkot Lok Sabha seat candidate, Paresh Dhanani, in the background, the video appears to be part of the campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Reacting to the viral video, Rajyaguru said, ‘First of all, it is a matter of joy that people who oppose Gandhiji are speaking for Gandhiji. I talked about what is written in history, what is written in books. The courage with which Gandhiji fought against the British. Rahul Gandhi is fighting against BJP. I made a statement from the written history, citing the relations and words of Gandhiji and Rabindranath Tagore. A synonym for cunning is cleverness. As Rahul Gandhi is fighting to save democracy, people will see Gandhiji in Rahul Gandhi in the coming days.’

Further, he said, ‘Indiraji was an iron woman. If this country looks at a Gandhi again, it will be Rahul Gandhi. Gandhi also had issues with the Congress at some point. It happens with Rahul too. But when it comes to the interest of the country, both of them stay away from partisanship and work with perseverance, non-violence, and courage. What the BJP is doing under the leadership of Narendra Modi, if anyone is fighting against it as strongly as Gandhiji, it is only Rahul Gandhi.
