BJP candidate CJ Chavda wins Vijapur assembly bypoll in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The counting of votes through all 18 rounds is over for the Vijapur assembly by-election. BJP candidate Dr. C.J. Chavda has won the seat with 55,690 votes against his nearest rival candidate, Dineshbhai Patel. Chavda got 99,083 votes, while Dinesh Patel got 43,393 votes. The by-poll was necessited due to the resignation of Chavda as Congress MLA. Chavda then contested the by-polls as BJP candidate. DeshGujarat
