Stone pelting incident: 5 Congress workers held in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Five Congress party workers were held following a stone pelting incident outside the state Congress headquarters a day ago. An FIR has been registered at Ellisbridge Police Station against three Congress workers and the mob of unnamed people involved in the incident.
As BJP workers approached the Congress headquarters yesterday, Congress workers became agitated, shouting slogans and hurling stones and sticks. BJP workers retaliated by pelting stones back. Stones also hit the police standing between the two groups. Amidst the chaos, a police personnel was hit on the head by a stone and subsequently hospitalised for treatment. Some BJP workers also suffered injuries.
Ahmedabad Police have booked an FIR against Shehzad Khan Pathan (AMC Leader of Opposition), Pragatiben Nandaniya, Hetaben Parikh, and the mob of unnamed Congress and BJP workers involved in the incident. They have been booked under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), including 189(2), 191(2), 190, 191(3), 125(b), 121(1), and 121(2).
Additionally, police have also held Sanjay Brahmabhatt (Spokesperson of Ahmedabad city Congress), Manish Thakor (Congress Naranpura ward president), Mukesh Dantani (Ahmedabad Congress vice president), Congress worker Vimal Kansara, and NSUI spokesperson Harsh Parmar. DeshGujarat
