Vadodara: Team India’s win in the T-20 Cricket World Cup will be celebrated with a unique event in Vadodara, honouring local hero Hardik Pandya. Hardik, who played a crucial role in the victory, will be welcomed with a grand road show and fireworks display on Monday, July 15th.
The organizers aim to replicate the enthusiasm seen during the team’s reception in Mumbai. They have planned a memorable welcome for Hardik Pandya and his family. The procession will start from Mandvi, pass through Lehripura, Sursagar, and Dandiya Bazaar, and conclude at Navlakhi Compound Akota bridge where a spectacular fireworks display will cap off the celebrations. Number of Ganesh mandals and Hindu organizations are participating in this event with the help of the city BJP chief Vijay Shah and others.
Organizers plan to gather Vadodara’s cricket fans, along with Pandya’s coach, teachers, neighbors, and relatives. Corporators, MLAs, and former players will also join to celebrate Pandya’s achievement.
The procession will include special arrangements, such as replicating the bus used in Mumbai’s celebrations and deploying over 50 bouncers and 1500 volunteers for crowd management. Organizers have requested the police presence of approximately 700 staff members to ensure the event’s smooth conduct. DeshGujarat
