Bullet Train Project: 40-mtr bridge over Gorwa-Madhunagar flyover in Vadodara complete

Vadodara: The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has completed construction of a 40-meter-long bridge over the Gorwa-Madhunagar Flyover in Vadodara.
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor will cross over the Gorwa-Madhunagar Flyover in Vadodara via an elevated viaduct. The flyover is approximately 4 kilometers from Vadodara Bullet Train Station towards Ahmedabad.
The bridge launching over the flyover was completed within a 10-day block period. All necessary safety precautions like hard barricading, traffic diversion signages, route diversion information publication, sufficient traffic marshals and lighting in night time etc. were taken into consideration during the launching process in presence of Traffic Police, Vadodara City.
Weighing 1,078 metric tons, the bridge comprises 17 segments and rises 8.7 meters above the flyover. The supporting piers are 18 meters tall, allowing for unobstructed high-speed train passage. The flyover itself is 16 meters wide. DeshGujarat
