3.5 lakh cusecs discharge from Narmada Dam; Updates on dams in Gujarat this evening

Narmada: Nearly 3.5 lakh cusecs of water are being discharged from the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam, the largest dam in Gujarat, as per the data at 6 PM today, August 27. However, the inflow into the dam has decreased to over 2.4 lakh cusecs, down from nearly 3.2 lakh cusecs this morning at 8 AM.
On the other hand, over 2.3 lakh cusecs of water are being released from the second-largest dam, Ukai, which has 15 gates open as of 6 PM. Kadana, the state’s third-largest dam, is over 87.27 percent full and is discharging 74,000 cusecs of water downstream.
