IMD lists out parts of Gujarat having flash flood risk by Wednesday evening

Gandhinagar: A flash flood risk alert has been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its latest bulletin released on the evening of 27th August.
According to this bulletin, which is effective until 5:30 p.m. on 28th August, Ahmedabad, Anand, Bharuch, Kheda, Mahisagar, Narmada, Vadodara, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Navsari, Panchmahal, Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Morbi, and Kutch districts are at risk of flash floods by the evening of 28th August.
The bulletin further stated that surface runoff/inundation may occur in some fully saturated soils and low-lying areas over the AoC, as shown in the map, due to expected rainfall in the next 24 hours. DeshGujarat
