Narmada: With 105% of the average monsoon rainfall completed in Gujarat, the following are the details of water storage across the state: As of 10 a.m. this morning, the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada River, the largest dam in Gujarat, is discharging 2.5 lakh cusecs of water downstream with its 15 gates open up to 2 meters. The dam had an inflow of over 2.3 lakh cusecs and is currently at a level of 134.18 meters, compared to the full level of 138.68 meters.

The Ukai Dam in Tapi district is currently at 78.10% of its storage capacity and is discharging 1.4 lakh cusecs of water against an inflow of 1.1 lakh cusecs. On the other hand, the Kadana Dam in Mahisagar, the third-largest dam, has 89.08% of its storage capacity. The Panam Dam, also in Mahisagar, is holding 95.75% of its water as of 10 am today.

The Karjan Dam in Narmada district has 66.25% of its storage, while the Damanganga Dam in Vapi has achieved 64.34% of its total holding capacity. However, the Dantiwada Dam in Banaskantha, North Gujarat, is only 26.83% full.

Rajkot’s Bhadar Dam, the second-largest dam in the Saurashtra region, is full at 100% of its capacity, with 45,261 cusecs of water being discharged from the dam due to heavy rains over the past few days. Both Machchhu 1 and Machchhu 2 dams are also full to their 100% capacity. Meanwhile, the largest dam in the Saurashtra region, Shetrunji Dam in Bhavnagar, is 42.63% full.

With continuing rainfall in the state, 102 reservoirs are 100% full, while 41 are 70-100% full. Twenty-two dams are 50-70% full, and 23 dams are 25-50% full. Out of 206 dams in Gujarat, 118 reservoirs are on high alert, 18 dams are on alert, and 7 dams are under warning, according to data as of 8 a.m. this morning. DeshGujarat
