Gandhinagar: Significant volume of water is being discharged from Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam, Ukai dam, Kadana dam and Vanakbori in Gujarat. Narmada dam is 99.22% full with water level at 138.45 m against highest level of 238.68 m. The outflow in river is 1.42 lakh cusecs at 6 pm today.
Ukai level is 105 m against highest level of 105.16 m. Over 47,000 cusecs discharge is going on in river.
Both Narmada and Ukai would achieve highest level even last month, but lot of water is being discharged to deliberately keep the level down in order to follow the rule level and prevent possibilities of flooding in downstream.
