Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has issued tenders for pay-and-park facilities that will be established in the northwest zone of the city. These facilities will be located near key areas such as the Sola Kargil petrol pump, Gota overbridge, Science City Road, Vodafone on SG Highway, Vishwas City in Chandlodia, Thaltej ADB water tank, Ganesh Glory in Jagatpur, and along the stretch from Iskcon Crossroads to Chimanbhai Institute in Vejalpur.

These sites will provide parking for 2,072 two-wheelers and 1,014 four-wheelers, with applicable parking fees. Charges for two-hour parking are set at ₹5 for two-wheelers and ₹15 for four-wheelers, while 24-hour parking will cost ₹47 for two-wheelers and ₹119 for four-wheelers.

Furthermore, a Pay and Park facility will be set up along the stretch from Iskcon Cross Roads to Chimanbhai Patel College Road in the South-West zone. This facility will be contracted for a duration of three years, with an annual maximum value of ₹16.55 lakh.

In addition, AMC has designated 66 free parking spots across the city to help reduce traffic congestion caused by haphazard parking. The civic body has also established parking facilities at 175 locations, with a capacity for 42,991 two-wheelers and 10,860 four-wheelers. DeshGujarat
