New Delhi: The Election Commission of India today announced the schedule for general elections in two states, namely Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Along with that, the ECI also announced the schedule for bypolls on 48 assembly seats and 2 parliamentary constituencies across 15 states. Among them is the assembly constituency of Vav.
According to the ECI’s schedule, voters of Vav will cast their ballots on November 13, with the results to be announced on November 23, along with the results of all the elections.
The Vav assembly seat became vacant in June when the then Congress MLA Geniben Thakor contested and won the Banaskantha Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 elections. After her Lok Sabha victory, she resigned as an MLA leading to the seat being vacant since then. DeshGujarat
