Surat’s 8th railway station may come up at Dindoli

Surat: Dindoli is likely to become the 8th railway station of Surat. Railway department has completed a primary survey proposing a new railway station at Dindoli. The second phase survey for the same is underway.

A new railways ation at Dindoli will ebnefit over 8 lakh people from Dindoli, Puna, Limbayat, Godadara and Saroli etc. areas. The new railways tation at Dindoli may also reduce burden on Surat and Udhna railway stations. A new railway station at Dindoli can be set up on Bhestan – Dindoli single bypass railway line. The Railways will do feasibility review before taking a final decision on setting up a new railway station at Dindoli.

It’s worth noting that Tapti Line Pass Holders Association and Maratha Kunbi Patil community had written letters to the Railway Ministry and conveyed that most people from other States are settled in Surat around Dindoli – Godadara. All trains on Udhna – Jalgaon line to Mumbai pass through Udhna – Bhestan single bypass line, and therefore setting up a railway station at Dindoli would be beneficial to around 8 lakh people of Limbayat, Punagam, Godadara, Saroli, Dindoli, Saniya, Harinagar, Devadh, Kharvasa etc areas. The pass holders can’t get benefit of 8 trains due to lack of railway station at Dindoli. DeshGujarat
