Railways restrict platform ticket sales at Ahmedabad, Asarwa, Sabarmati stations
October 28, 2024
Ahmedabad: To ensure effective crowd management during the festive season, a temporary ban on platform ticket sales has been enforced at Ahmedabad, Asarwa, and Sabarmati stations in the Ahmedabad Division, effective immediately. The ban aims to control platform crowding and facilitate smooth passenger movement within the station premises ahead of the heavy festive season rush.
The restriction on platform tickets will remain in place throughout the Diwali and Chhath Puja festivities, ending on November 6, 2024.
However, exemptions are in place for senior citizens and those with medical needs to facilitate easier travel. DeshGujarat
