Amreli to get ring road; land acquisition process begins
November 16, 2024
Amreli: The revenue department has initiated the process of land acquisition to construct a ring road for Amreli city. A notification has been published to begin the process. After completion of the project, the city will receive the long-awaited ring road, which will eventually reduce the movement of vehicles within the city by approximately three kilometers.
Currently, Amreli city has a bypass road but lacks a proper ring road. As a result, vehicles traveling from towards Rajkot, Ahmedabad, or other destinations must pass through the city, adding about three kilometers to their journey. This leads to time wastage, higher fuel consumption, and increased traffic congestion.
The revenue department has issued a notification to start land acquisition for the ring road, which will stretch from Radheshyam Chowk to Nana Machiyala in Amreli. The land required includes parcels of land in Sangaderi village and Nana Machiyala village, comprising both agricultural and non-agricultural land owned by various individuals with different survey numbers. An executor will be appointed to oversee the land acquisition process, and a survey of the land will be conducted before the acquisition takes place. DeshGujarat
