Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is set to watch the Hindi movie The Sabarmati Report. The CM will watch the film at City Gold Cinema Hall, located on Ashram Road, at around 7:30 PM this evening.
The film, featuring Vikrant Massey, known for his roles in 12th Fail and Mirzapur, depicts the events leading up to the 2002 train burning near Godhra station. The incident claimed the lives of 59 passengers, many of whom were Hindu pilgrims on their way to Ayodhya for a religious event. The fire was later determined to be an act of arson. Following the train burning, riots erupted in Godhra.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was the CM of Gujarat at the time of the Godhra incident, also praised the film. Reacting to a post recommending The Sabarmati Report as a must-watch, the Prime Minister shared his thoughts on X, saying, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”

No matter how hard a powerful ecosystem tries, it cannot keep the truth hidden in darkness forever.
The film #SabarmatiReport defies the ecosystem with unparalleled courage and exposes the truth behind the fateful episode to broad daylight. https://t.co/AnVsuCSNwi
