Palanpur to get Rs.18 crore 8-lane Iconic road

Banaskantha: The Gujarat government has given the green signal to the proposal made by the MLA to construct an 8-lane iconic-pattern road from the Aroma Circle on Ahmedabad-Palanpur Highway to the Railway Overbridge near Dhundhiyawadi. This road will help solve traffic problems from the highway to Cozy and ease congestion. The road will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 18 crore, and its iconic pattern will enhance its appearance with LED lights and landscaping.

In Palanpur, the district headquarters of Banaskantha, several issues along the road from the highway to the city have been causing difficulties for the public. To address these concerns, MLA Aniket Thaker submitted a proposal to the district administration, which has been approved. The road will be developed from the Palanpur Highway Char Rasta to the city’s Railway Overbridge (ROB) and will be constructed in an 8-lane iconic pattern.The construction of this road will eliminate potholes and improve sanitation, helping address local issues caused by garbage.

The road will include drainage systems, rainwater drainage, footways, streetlights, plantation, utility seating, junction improvements, and other necessary features. With this iconic-pattern road from the highway to the railway overbridge, Palanpur will see a significant enhancement in both its beauty and infrastructure. The road’s design has been finalized by the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department, and it will provide significant improvements for the city’s population of approximately 3.16 lakh people. DeshGujarat
