During the event, the Collector stated that it had been a long-standing demand of the Sompura Tirtha Purohit Brahmo Samaj to hold a regular Sandhya Aarti at the site, leading to this new arrangement.

Collector Jadeja performed rituals at the confluence of the Hiran, Kapila, and Saraswati rivers as per scriptures. He announced that a grand aarti, similar to the Ganga Aarti in Banaras, would be conducted here regularly. The administration has also instructed the boating contractor to start services soon, allowing devotees to witness the divine aarti while boating.

On Wednesday evening, which coincided with Mahashivratri, the surroundings turned divine as over 20 Tirtha Purohits chanted Vedic mantras during the ‘Sangam Aarti.’ A large crowd gathered at the Triveni Sangam to witness the aarti. Representatives of the Somnath Trust, public figures, and officials were also present. DeshGujarat
