Four Controversial Police Constables Transferred from Vadodara
March 13, 2025
Vadodara: Four police constables, including a controversial LRD (Lok Rakshak Dal) cop have been transferred out of the district with immediate effect, as ordered by the Police Commissioner. The transfers come amidst allegations of misconduct and controversial actions during their service in the city police force.
The transferred officers are:
- Head Constable Vishal Nagjibhai: Transferred from Chhani to West Kutch Bhuj.
- LRD Bhargavdan Sureshdan: Transferred from Police Lines Headquarters to Junagadh.
- Police Constable Pankaj Dharmarajsinh: Transferred from Headquarters to Botad.
- Police Constable Ranjitsinh Khumansinh: Transferred from Headquarters to Porbandar.
Along with the transfer orders, the policemen have been directed to vacate their official residences and report to the Commissioner of Police (CP) office immediately.
The transfers are linked to several incidents of alleged misconduct. One notable case involves LRD Bhargavdan, whose ID card was reportedly found in a car filled with liquor that was seized along with a bootlegger.
Another incident involved Police Constable Ranjitsinh, who was accused of releasing the brother of a bootlegger during a gambling raid. While seven individuals were apprehended in the raid, only six were charged, allegedly due to Ranjitsinh’s intervention.
Furthermore, a separate incident involved personnel from the Varsia police station. They were found watching a cricket match on a tablet device issued by the police department for official use. A video of this incident, showing them watching the Champions Trophy match held in Dubai, went viral. As a result, the PSO from Varsia police station has been transferred to Pratap Nagar Headquarters.
Following departmental inquiries into these incidents, Police Commissioner Narasimha Komar issued the orders for the immediate inter-district transfers of the four constables. DeshGujarat
