Nothing in this world is free from Dharma: Bhagwat in Valsad
April 12, 2025
Valsad: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarsanghchalak, Mohanji Bhagwat, today attended the concluding ceremony of the Bhagwan Bhavbhaveshwar Rajotsav organized at Shri Sadgurdham, Dharampur, Valsad. He offered a sacred oblation in the yagna organized on this occasion and presented a silver snake (25 kg) to Bhagwan Bhavbhaveshwar.
On this occasion, during the concluding ceremony, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Vidyanandji Saraswati Maharaj welcomed Mohanji Bhagwat and the tribals, expressing gratitude for his visit to Barumal for the second time in a short span. He spoke in detail about the challenges the tribal community faces from irreligious forces and highlighted the humanitarian work carried out by their Guru since 1945 for the preservation and promotion of tribal culture.
In his speech, Bhagwat said that religion is a universal principle that applies to everyone. It is the same for the entire world. This law was formed with the creation of the earth, and this creation operates according to that law. Therefore, nothing in this world is beyond religion. Everyone’s faith may differ, but its essence remains the same. Hence, there is no need for argument.
Dr. Mohan Bhagwat further said that conversion is often carried out to increase one’s influence, expand one’s power, and dominate others—because with power and authority, one can fulfill personal desires and use others for selfish gain. Conversion began with this attitude. Otherwise, there is spirituality behind every form of worship. If we remain spiritually focused, there is no need for conversion. He added that there are forces that do not provide a new spiritual path but try to convert people through greed, temptation, coercion, or pressure. This is, in fact, a form of exploitation, and it should not happen. But how do we prevent it? The answer is simple. Let others try whatever they want—but if we do not change, what can they do?
He emphasized that we must remain connected, not confrontational. We must do what is necessary to protect and preserve our culture and faith. Our conduct should be pure, and we should follow religion, as only in religion lies the true welfare of all. So that we are not swayed by selfishness or greed, and no one can divert us from our path, there should be a central place where people can connect with religion. In our tradition, this place is the temple—a center for spiritual, religious, social, and even economic training and guidance. Religion is a fundamental necessity, and the world believes that its true source lies in India. Therefore, India must remain rooted in its religion. DeshGujarat
