Khambhat Court Orders Double Death Penalty in Child Rape-Murder Case

Anand: The Khambhat Sessions Court has sentenced Arjun Ambalal Gohil, 24, to double death penalty for the rape and murder of a 7-year-old girl from Kanisa village, a crime he committed on October 28, 2019. The case, which shocked the local community, saw the chargesheet filed within just one and a half months. The court convicted Gohil under the POCSO Act and for murder, marking a significant step in ensuring justice for the victim and sending a stern message against heinous crimes in society.
Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghvi, congratulated the police officers and personnel for their invaluable contribution in securing justice for the victim and her family. He also expressed gratitude towards the judiciary for delivering a swift and impartial verdict in this grave case.
