Southwest Monsoon 2025 likely to reach Gujarat today

Ahmedabad: The southwest monsoon is expected to reach the south Gujarat region today, as per the latest forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Currently, the northern limit of the monsoon stretches through Mumbai, Ahilyanagar in Maharashtra, and Puri in Odisha.
The IMD bulletin on Sunday noted: “Conditions are favourable for further advancement of Southwest monsoon over some parts of Gujarat, some more parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh & Odisha during next 24 hours; over some parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh during subsequent 3 days.”
On Sunday, Bhuj recorded the highest maximum temperature at 38.8°C, one degree above normal. Ahmedabad followed closely at 37.5°C, which was 1°C below normal. The minimum temperature in the city was 27.0°C, also slightly below normal by 0.9°C.
Other notable temperatures include Baroda at 37.2°C (1°C above normal) and Deesa at 36.6°C (2°C below normal). The mercury dipped to 2 degrees below normal in Rajkot, which recorded 35.5°C.
With rainfall reported in many regions, humidity remained high throughout the morning, with Ahmedabad recording 81% relative humidity at 8:30 AM. DeshGujarat
