Dahod: A video allegedly showing RTO inspector V.K. Parmar assaulting a truck driver near Asayadi village on the Indore-Ahmedabad highway has gone viral on social media. The clip, reportedly filmed by a passerby, shows a man striking the driver with a stick while another person pulls his hair. The man with the stick was later identified as Parmar. The incident reportedly stopped once the men realized they were being recorded. Parmar was also seen confronting the person filming.
It is learnt that the video was shot by the husband of a village sarpanch who was en route to Gandhinagar. The injured driver was later taken to a government hospital. Parmar has denied the assault allegations, claiming the driver ignored stop signals and tried to ram the RTO vehicle. He stated that the team had to set up a barricade, which the truck attempted to drive through before a tire burst. Parmar added that he hadn’t seen the viral video and had filed a complaint against the driver for dangerous driving. DeshGujarat
