July 13, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), operating under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, has officially launched registrations for ROBOFEST – Gujarat 5.0, India’s largest robotics competition aimed at nurturing young innovators in STEM.
Now in its fifth edition, ROBOFEST has invited participation from school and college students nationwide, offering two competitive categories – Junior and Senior. The event will challenge participants to navigate the entire innovation pipeline: from ideation and proof of concept to prototype development. This hands-on approach is designed to introduce students to the real-world applications of robotics, coding, and engineering.
With a massive pool of ₹5 crore allocated for prizes, incentives, and expert mentorship, ROBOFEST 5.0 also includes a provision for students to file provisional patents for their inventions—encouraging a culture of innovation and intellectual property creation from a young age.
Registrations are currently open on the official website – www.robofest.gujarat.gov.in – and will remain so until 25th August 2025. DeshGujarat
