New Passport Seva Kendra in Bapunagar gets 800+ applications daily in first week

Ahmedabad: The newly inaugurated Passport Seva Kendra in the Bapunagar area has received over 5,600 applications within a week since its opening on July 7. Officials say applications are being processed swiftly. Now fully operational, the centre is handling more than 800 applications daily.
The facility comprises a total of 36 counters across three wings: 20 in Wing A, 10 in Wing B, and 6 in Wing C. It has the capacity to process up to 2,000 applications per day.
The center which has recently shifted here from earlier facility in Mithakhali is equipped with an online appointment system, fingerprint and document verification, adequate seating, drinking water, and convenient arrangements for mothers and children. It has also improved accessibility for applicants from Ahmedabad East, Kheda, and Anand.
Notably, the Bapunagar facility is the largest passport service centre in the state. A large Passport Seva Kendra is planned for every Lok Sabha constituency. DeshGujarat
