Ahmedabad: In a significant initiative to support the reintegration of ex-servicemen into the civilian workforce, the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), under the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence, is organising a dedicated job fair in Ahmedabad on July 25, 2025.

The event will be held at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Auditorium, Ahmedabad Military Station, Shahibaug, starting at 9:30 am. Major General Gaurav Bagga, General Officer Commanding 11 RAPID, will attend as Chief Guest. Other dignitaries include Colonel VS Chandrawat (Retd), Group CSO, Adani Group.

Ex-servicemen attending the fair are required to bring their ESM I-Card and five copies of their résumé/biodata. The job fair is expected to draw employers from diverse industries offering roles in leadership, security, operations, hospitality, healthcare, technical fields, and more.

Employers will benefit from free online registration, free job postings, free stall allotments, and free access to the résumés of registered ex-servicemen. This initiative aims to leverage the discipline, skills, and dependability of ex-servicemen for various roles, including PSOs, supervisors, drivers, machine operators, engineers, technicians, and other skilled trades.
