Dahod: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed a Village Computer Operator from Chilakota Gram Panchayat in Limkheda taluka in a bribe case involving an amount of ₹1,000.
According to the ACB, the accused, Dineshbhai Madhubhai Solanki, demanded a bribe from the complainant to help obtain birth certificates required for the Aadhaar card applications of the complainant’s brother’s daughters. When the complainant approached the Gram Panchayat office, it was found that the births were not registered. To process the required documents through the Mamlatdar office, the accused allegedly demanded ₹1,200 as a bribe, which was later settled at ₹1,000 after negotiation.
Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant approached the ACB and lodged a complaint. Acting on this, the ACB set up a trap at the Chilakota Gram Panchayat office. During the operation, the accused was caught red-handed accepting the bribe amount of ₹1,000. DeshGujarat
