Ahmedabad: In a gesture to make the festive day of Raksha Bandhan more comfortable for women, Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited has announced free travel for all women on BRTS buses on August 9, 2025. The decision aims to support the tradition of sisters visiting their brothers to tie the sacred rakhi, symbolizing their bond of love and protection.

According to the announcement, women will be able to travel free of cost on all BRTS buses across Ahmedabad from 6:00 AM to 10:45 PM on the day of the festival.
