September 26, 2025
Ahmedabad: To meet the growing water demand in the rapidly developing Thaltej Ward, the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has approved the construction of a new water distribution station at Sindhubhavan Extension Road, T.P. Scheme No. 215, F. Plot No. 107, North West Zone.
The project, awarded to Krishna Construction Co., comes with an estimated cost of ₹33.10 crore, with the tender amount finalized at ₹18.39 crore.
With large-scale vertical development underway near Sardar Patel Ring Road, Sindhubhavan Extension Road, and surrounding areas, residents currently rely on private borewells for underground water. To ensure access to clean water from the Narmada River, AMC plans to develop modern water supply infrastructure in the area.
The new facility will feature an underground tank with a pump house of 86.60 lakh liters and an overhead tank of 20 lakh liters. Once operational, the station will supply clean water from the Sadar Water Distribution Station to approximately 55,000 residents, ensuring reliable water availability for current and future needs in the area.
